Ana Nergal, ašarēd ilāni / lā ādir kakki šašme / kaš-kaš ilāni / lā gāmil lemnūti / āšib É.ŠA.HÚL ša qereb mê-turni (1)
For Nergal, Foremost of the Gods, fearless in battle and warfare, most powerful of the Gods, Who does not spare the wicked, Who dwells in E-Ša-Hul, which is in Mê-Turna.
Ana Nergal qarrādu gitmālu dandannu ilāni mamlu ašaredu bēlu gašru / šar tamhāri bēl abāri u dunni bēl abūbi šākin tahtê / mār Ellil ṣīru gašru ilāni ahhēšu bukur Kutušar šarrati rabīti / āšib Emešlam kiṣṣu ellu ša qereb Kutê bēli rabê bēlīya (2)
To Nergal, Perfect Hero, strongest among the Gods, Noble, Foremost, powerful Lord, King of Battle, Lord of Strength and Force, Deluge, overcoming in battle. August (noble; high-ranking) son of Ellil (Enlil), powerful among His brothers, first-born of Kutušar [the] Great Queen, Who dwells in E-Meslam, pure shrine in the center of Kutê (Kutha), Great God, my Lord.
